UCFS receives donation from Dime Bank to Capital Campaign

November 15, Norwich, CT — UCFS (United Community & Family Services) received a donation of $25,000 from Dime Bank to finance a Dental Operatory at the UCFS Health Center. To more efficiently and effectively meet the increased need for services, UCFS will be expanding & renovating the current Health Center. The expansion will provide better access to care, reduce wait time and create resources for long-term solutions.
Jim Cronin, President of Dime Bank states, " UCFS is a valuable healthcare resource in our area and we support and applaud their efforts to provide their services. Our donation is an investment in the health and well-being of our community."
UCFS' Capital Campaign is seeking to raise $500,000 to convert 2,460 square feet of clinical space to provide 5 new medical exam rooms, 2 new dental treatment rooms and 4 new behavioral health offices. In the past three years alone, the Health Center has gone from 34,590 visits annually to over 42,000.
