Greater client comfort and easier access are at the center of a recent expansion at the Ross Adult Day Center. The expansion will allow UCFS to accommodate 15 more clients and to address specific needs. For example, a new “quiet room” is available for clients who suffer with Alzheimer’s or dementia and a new Arts & Crafts room provides a dedicated space for those activities. The expansion also includes brand new bathrooms that have been reconfigured to provide more privacy and a new outdoor courtyard and terrace is directly accessible.

The expansion makes Ross Adult Day Care Center a nicer and more inviting environment for our clients,” says Jan Davis, Director of Eldercare Services.

Ross Adult Day Center provides a broad spectrum of day services to elderly and/or disabled individuals residing in New London County who, because of physical and/or health limitation, are homebound or might otherwise consider nursing home care. It offers a way for individuals to maintain their independence by remaining in their own home or with family while providing a means for them to get out of the house during the day into a safe and supervised setting.
