Building Blocks - Early Childhood Mental Health Partner

Service Description
In 2005, the substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA) awarded the Southeast Mental Health System of Care the Building Blocks grant to develop and implement an early childhood system of care program in Southeast Connecticut. UCFS is providing 2 Early Childhood Mental Health partners to Building Blocks to provide comprehensive mental health services for children birth to five years old, with social and emotional challenges, and their families in southeast Connecticut. The Partners and the Building Blocks program also work to increase the capacity and expertise in early childhood mental health with evidence-based information on screening, assessment, referral and early intervention.
