Emergency Mobile Psychiatric Services

Service Description
Emergency Mobile Psychiatric Services are community based services for children and adolescents who are experiencing psychiatric or behavioral health crises. Trained Clinicians can go to the crises site, often school or home, to evaluate the child, de-escalate the crises and develop a crises plan with the family. The program provides linkages to other services in the community and follow-up visits.
The goal is to treat children in their communities while maintaining their ability to remain at home, whenever possible. This program is funded by the Department of Children and Families and Department of Social Services and serves the greater southeastern Connecticut area.
