United Community & Family Services (UCFS) and Thames Valley Council for Community Action (TVCCA) are collecting gift cards from ANY vendor/store/restaurant for ANY amount to meet the needs of families in our region. Your gift cards will be combined with the donations of others to provide food, clothing, books, supplies and many other needs.
Program runs from January 15 - February 15, 2010.

Jewett City Savings Bank presents check to UCFS
On November 6th, Kevin Merchant, President/CEO of Jewett City Savings Bank presented a check to Pam Kinder. The funds will be used to help offset the costs of primary care and behavioral health services for clients residing in Jewett City who are unable to pay for services.
UCFS Receives Check From Savings Institute Bank & Trust
Barry Shead, Branch Manager of Savings Institute Bank & Trust presents a $500.00 check to Pam Kinder. Each year Savings Institute Bank & Trust employees raise money to help those in need in the communities that they serve through their annual Caring & Giving Campaign.
UCFS receives check from Dime Bank Foundation
On Tuesday, October 27th, Cheryl Calderado & Sarah Matthews from Dime Bank presented Chuck Seeman with a $3,000 check from the Dime Bank Foundation. The donation will be used to help offset the cost for residents who are unable to pay, for primary care, dental, in-school dental and outpatient behavioral health services provided by United Community and Family Services (UCFS). UCFS’ clients reside in Norwich, Ledyard, East Lyme, Montville, New London, and Taftville. The funds will also supplement transportation costs for clients in need.
