Gynecology services include preventive diagnostic and acute care, 24-hour on-call with a wide range of specialties, such as family planning, menopause testing and treatment, continence care, Pap smear, colposcopy, LEEP procedures, sexual dysfunction and GYN surgery. UCFS is also a participating provider for the CT Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. Women without insurance may qualify for a breast exam, Pap smear and mammogram at no charge.

What to bring for your first visit
Please bring your insurance card and documentation of income (2 pay stubs) for participation in the sliding fee scale. You may also bring records from your previous physician if applicable. If there is a guardianship the authorized individual is responsible for signing consent forms.
Insurance info
UCFS accepts most insurance plans. UCFS staff will obtain health insurance authorization and reauthorizations as needed. Staff assistance is available for people interested in applying for Medicaid; HUSKY or Healthy Start. For assistance with insurance, please call Access to Care at 860-822-4798.
