At UCFS, a Federally Qualified Health Center, we specialize in integrated care which means having access to essential services to meet the complex needs of those we serve. We work collaboratively across programs at our agency to remove barriers and streamline access to services including behavioral health services, primary care, dental, case management and more.

Behavioral Health
UCFS offers placement for Master’s-Level clinical internships in our outpatient practices. Becoming an intern in our behavioral health department means being part of our clinical team of LCSW’s, LMFT’s, LPC’s, and specialty staff. In addition to training, the learning experience is immersive, as the intern begins with observational learning alongside clinicians to eventually building and serving their own caseload of clients. Services provided can include individual, group, family and/or couples therapy. Integration into our clinical teams means the opportunity for interns to collaborate with other providers and departments to ensure our clients receive high-quality and care that is tailored to the person. As part of UCFS’ Behavioral Health team, interns have endless opportunity to develop and enhance skills in a variety of areas through individual and group supervision and other in-house training.

Primary Care & Psychiatry
Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants
UCFS offers clinical placements for Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant students currently enrolled in an accredited program. Interns can gain hand-on experience, develop their clinical skills and expand their knowledge working side-by-side with our dedicated team. UCFS offers clinical placements for Nurse Practitioner students in Primary Care and Psychiatry and for Physician Assistant students in Primary Care.
