Healthy Start
Healthy Start is a health care program that provides assistance to income eligible pregnant women and children up to age three with HUSKY health insurance assistance, referrals to health and community resources and focused health related case management to support a healthy pregnancy. Babies born to Healthy Start moms are automatically enrolled in the HUSKY Program for 1 year without income verification or paperwork.
How to make an appointment
Call 860-822-4175 for an eligibility screening and to schedule an appointment with the Healthy Start Caseworker.
What to bring on first visit
Photo ID, social security card, proof of pregnancy, income verification, non-income verification, proof of residence, current medical insurance card, and green card or visa if applicable.
